Top 14 Reasons to own a ultra light Snow Groomer

Having a ultra light snow groomer can truly solve issues that larger more expensive groomers cannot.  This is not to say that large snow groomers are not fantastic and needed.  Just that these types of ultra light snow groomers have a place and solve issues that would be hard for large groomers to do.  Of course, vice versa is true as well.

These are the top 14 reasons to have an ultra light snow groomer:

#1. There are trails that small ultralight snow groomers can go down because the trees are so close together. Lots of fat bike trails are one-way trails and having them groomed saves someone from having to bust trails.  The groomers have wings that are flexible so they can not break as they go by and hit the trees on the side but still keep a groomed trail.  Getting a snow groomer that is the correct width you need is very important.  Sometimes too big is just not an option.

#2. Safe to use for non-experienced groomers.  All our groomers have breakaway pins such that if you hit something it does not just stop you and send you flying or just break up your towing machine or the snow groomer.  Plus then it is light enough to get it away from whatever you hit.

Inexpensive for multiple reasons.

#3. Very inexpensive to operate.  They are inexpensive to operate as you can have them weigh the right amount. Ie you are not pulling too much weight.  But you can add weight as needed for packing snow.  Being ultra-light does not mean it is not ultra tough.  These groomers are meant to last.  Proven over the years to last.

#4. Less expensive to buy — Large snow groomers can cost $50k and more.  Our snow groomers are a lot less than that no matter the model or options you buy.

Ultralight snow groomers can be pulled by your snowmobile or side by side.

#5. Can be pulled behind your snowmobile all the time to keep your ski hill perfect.  Lots of ski resorts want to have perfectly groomed snow.  They also need to run up the hills on their snowmobiles to help people or to maintain the mountain.  They can pull our snow groomers behind as they go about their daily work and always leave corduroy behind them.

Use what you already have.

#6. Can be pulled by the snowmobile you most likely already own.  Since the groomers are light you most likely can add a hitch to the snowmobile you already have and pull it to groom your snow. Some snowmobiles already have a hitch.  In most cases, it will just attach to them.

#7. Can be moved around by hand.  Ultra-light means that you can move it around yourself.  If you want to move it very far there are wheel kits that make it even easier and keep it up off the ground when needed.  Hooking it up to machines that cannot be backed up is still easy.

#8.  May get stuck less often and if you get it stuck you can get it out yourself.  Even other small groomers get filled in with snow and are quite heavy when they get stuck.  You might need a team of guys to get them unstuck.  Not our ultra-light snow groomer. One of the reasons it gets stuck less is because it has a deflector plate that keeps it on top of the snow and keeps snow from piling up on the groomer itself.

#9. Super useful to hook on and take care of the trail from your cabin to the publicly groomed trail.  Sometimes it is just a few hundred yards to the main trail system.  That few hundred yards can get moguled up.  Having a small groomer with a razor to take care of the moguls can be super nice.

Dependable

#10. Can last a very long time.  The blades are zinced to not rust.  The metal is powder-coated paint.  Plus we use plastics to protect the places where wear is most often found to protect the metal from getting the paint worn off.  Most users have had their snow groomer for many years and they still look almost new.  Plus we have parts to replace the pieces that wear or get broken.

#11. There is most likely one built for your exact snow grooming needs.  We have lots of different models for different needs. From narrow to wide, from keeping the snow on the trail to plow it away models.  From groom it so it freezes solid or remove excess snow so you do not sink in the lake and to take off the snow from the top of the ice or slush.  To even an entry level snow groomer.

May make you loved even more.

#12. May make you the greatest grandpa by your grooming and making the perfect sleigh riding hill.  Using it to make a ski hill or smooth out your ski hill after tons of use is what we have done for many years.  Lots of neighbors come to use the hill.  They ski or sleigh ride and love that it is so smooth without all the ruts.  When things start to get rutted or bumpy we just go groom it again.

#13. Not too small so that you can still pull it with your side by side with tracks or your snowcat.  It can be wide enough to cover the tracks made by these larger machines.  Has a razor to cut the snow behind your tracks and allow the snow to be groomed where your tracks went.

Not a drag.

#14. Our snow groomers are not snow drags.  We try to keep as much snow as we can and not push it away.  Unless that is what you want and then we have a thing called a snow-blaster that lets you say how much snow to push away or keep the amount of snow you want and still leave the trail or hill groomed.

Ultra-light snow groomers can just solve so many needs that people have.  Call us and we will help you get the right one.
